The Xcelerator is capable of reaching impressive speeds in just a matter of seconds before it sends you barreling down its straight launch track as you look toward the Top Hat tower just ahead.

The Furious Baco

This intense hydraulic launch coaster is located at PortAventura Park in Salou, Tarragona, Spain. You may have to travel pretty far to ride this monster but many who have say it is well worth the trip. This roller coaster travels at 84 mph and it is an extremely unique ride that is designed for nothing else but speed. The Furious Baco has no hills and very few elements. But it is a wing coaster that delivers riders with an amazing 4.7 Gs.

The majestic Goliath lives up to its name with speeds up to 85 mph. This Hypercoaster is located at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. This coaster is so fast that it has almost caused many of its riders to pass out from the extreme speeds and positive G forces. Ride with caution!

Phantom’s Revenge

Located at Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, Phantom’s Revenge is a coaster that was once known as the Steel Phantom. It is capable of reaching speeds up to 85mph and it takes you on inversions at such high speeds that it is almost punishing, but so much fun at the same time. When the ride was renamed Phantom’s Revenge, Kennywood got rid of the loops and placed more focus on the ride’s level of speed which helped to place it into the category of Hypercoasters.

One look at this 3 minute and 30 second ride may have you second guessing your love for roller coasters. The Titan is located at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, TX and can reach speeds up to 85mph. This roller coaster uses the traditional lift chain method and takes you soaring down a 255 foot first drop before it zooms through a 120 foot long tunnel. It is similar to the Goliath coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain but many people prefer the Titan for its impressive style.

The Intimidator

This popular coaster located at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia is a Giga-Coaster that is all about intense G-forces and incredible heights. There aren’t any gimmicks to this lightning fasts coaster, just a whole lot of speed. Shortly after the Intimidator opened up in 2010, the people at Kings Dominion added trim brakes which slowed the ride down from its original speed of 94mph. In 2011, the park owners modified the ride once again and remove the trim brakes, which put it back on the high side of the speed ranking, but at a slightly slower 90mph.

The name says it all. This impressive coaster that is located in Canada’s Wonderland in Maple, Ontario just outside of Toronto. It is the fastest roller coaster in all of Canada and the first Giga-Coaster from Bolliger and Mabillard, the makers of some of the world’s smoothest roller coasters. Given their track record, there is no surprise that the Leviathan is extremely smooth despite its incredible speed. This gigantic coaster is able to reach speeds up to 92 mph.

Millennium Force

Located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, the Millennium Force is one of the most popular roller coasters in the country. This Giga-Coaster can reach speeds at a dizzying 93mph. Cedar Park is a great place to visit if you love roller coasters, they have two of the fastest coasters around including the Magnum XL-200 which was the original hypercoaster.
